Lecturer Faculty of Engineering becomes Narasumber at activity Training Innovation & Daya Saing Produk Community service University Muslim Indonesia di Desa Binaan UMI ,Desa Sanrobone Kab.Takalar

Makassar, ft.umi.ac.id – Dua lecturer Faculty of Engineering University Muslim Indonesia (UMI), Ir. Rizki Ayu Saraswati, S.T., M.T. and Ir. Arinda Wahyuni, S.T., M.Ars., becomes narasumber in activity Training Innovation & Daya Saing Produk Community service which was held by Institution Community service (LPKM) UMI. Activity this takes place at Rabu, 8 September 2025, di Pesantren Mizanul Ulum, Desa Sanrobone, Kabupaten Takalar.

Training the said is section from upaya UMI in improves kapasitas masyarakat and institution pendidikan through penerapan ilmu pengetahuan and technology which berdaya guna. Fokus main activity this is pemanfaatan ecobrick sebagai innovation ramah lingkungan for mengatasi permasalahan sampah plastik sekaligus improves daya saing produk result community service.

In paparannya, Ir. Rizki Ayu Saraswati, S.T., M.T. menyoroti bahaya sampah plastik which semakin mengancam lingkungan, terutama di kawasan pesisir.

“Sampah plastik when this becomes ancaman serius bagi lingkungan, terutama di kawasan pesisir. Through ecobrick, we can mengubah masalah that becomes solusi. Botol-botol plastik which semula mencemari laut and tanah kini can disulap becomes bahan for infrastruktur ringan and produk kreatif which bermanfaat,” ujarnya.

Senada with hal the said, Ir. Arinda Wahyuni, S.T., M.Ars. explains bahwa process pembuatan ecobrick very sederhana however memiliki dampak large.

“Cara membuat ecobrick sebenarnya sederhana — cukup with memadatkan sampah plastik ke in botol until padat. However manfaatnya luar biasa. Ecobrick kini becomes tren pelestarian lingkungan modern; selain ramah lingkungan, also mampu improves perekonomian masyarakat through produk kreatif seperti kursi, meja, until dinding taman,” terangnya.

More lanjut, kedua narasumber menekankan pentingnya penerapan program semacam this di lingkungan pendidikan, terutama di Pesantren Mizanul Ulum which berada di bawah naungan Foundation Wakaf University Muslim Indonesia (YW-UMI).

“Program seperti this very good diterapkan di institution pendidikan, termasuk di Pesantren Mizanul Ulum Sanrobone. Through training ecobrick, siswa can menyalurkan creativity sekaligus berkontribusi nyata towards kelestarian lingkungan,” add keduanya.

Activity this disambut antusias by para participants which consists of santri and tenaga pendidik. Through training the said, is expected tercipta sinergi between dunia Academic and masyarakat in mewujudkan innovation berkelanjutan, sekaligus strengthens komitmen UMI sebagai higher education institution which berperan aktif in pemberdayaan masyarakat and pelestarian lingkungan.
