Berdasarkan surat Keputusan Chairperson Board members Foundation Wakaf UMI nomor 2186/YW-UMI/A/XII/2024 about Pengangkatan Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Thalib, S.H., M.H. sebagai Rector UMI masa Amanah 2024-2026.
Inauguration this dilakukan langsung by Chairperson Board members Foundation Wakaf UMI, Ibu Prof. Dr. Hj. Masrurah Mokhtar, MA. di Auditorium Al-jibra UMI (27/12/2024).

Usai dilantik sebagai Rector UMI, Prof. Dr. H. Hambali Thalib, S.H., M.S. conveys rasa syukur and thank you atas kepercayaan which was provided, in welcome message “Mengawali sekapur sirih this, izinkan we conveys thank you to Leadership Foundation Wakaf UMI and keluarga large UMI atas kepercayaan with amanah sebagai Rector UMI masa amanah 2024-2026. Amanah this insya Allah we will laksanakan with good.” ungkapnya.
Beliau pun conveys “Kepemimpinan we, insyaAllah will meneruskan perjuangan leadership UMI previous menjadikan UMI menuju world class university, campus research and community service which Excellent, and mampu beradaptasi in menghadapi perkembangan technology Information which pesat,”
“We will terus develops human resources which not hanya berkualitas, but also memiliki wawasan global and kemampuan for berkolaborasi with berbagai institution di all dunia,” tambahnya.
“Mari we wujudkan program this with tekad and komitmen which kuat. Builds UMI, semakin berkualitas, maju and Excellent, menuju world class university,, kunci main is komitmen we with kekuatan Jamaah/kebersamaan which sinergis good di in maupun di luar campus, sebagai nilai or value which very penting,” pungkasnya
